I specialize in helping those who are looking for a better quality of life. I’m an experienced therapist who has helped many individuals discover what has been missing from their lives by tackling fears and worry thoughts that have created stagnancy and the feeling of “being stuck.” I believe in guiding my clients in their search for change and growth. I’ve worked in the mental health field for the past 8 years and have experience working with multiple issues, specifically with adults and couples.
I received a B.A. from the University of Texas of Austin in 2005 and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Saint Edward’s University in 2009.
I’m experienced in various therapies and work from an integrative approach that address issues with anxiety/fear, interpersonal issues, self esteem building, depression and developing a strong sense of self along with the motivation to change. I use a person-centered approach with my clients and often use metaphor and humor in session to create a warm and accepting atmosphere. I believe that therapy is mostly about the relationship and one’s comfort with the work they’re doing.
You are welcome to contact me with questions you have about my specialties and how they relate to what you are looking for. I come from a non-judgmental standpoint, meeting you where you are. I look forward to working collaboratively with you in developing your ideal therapeutic relationship/environment. I specialize in couples work as well as working with those who are highly creative and cerebral. I look forward to joining you on your journey to acceptance and happiness!
** I’m also taking on Licensed Professional Counselor Interns who are looking for clinical supervision in order to gain full licensure. Please contact me if you are interested.
